Tree Walk at Somerville Growing Center 7/18 (Somerville)

6 PM, Friday 7/18, meeting at the Somerville Growing Center (22 Vinal Ave, Somerville, MA 02143)

I’m back at SGC leading another free, open-to-the-public urban tree walk. We’ll talk about how to identify common street trees, what makes them special, and other fun trivia! No registration needed, just show up.

Natural Plastering Workshop 7/19 (Medford)

1 PM – 4 PM, private residence in Medford, MA.

If you can believe it, my series of Medford natural building workshops is coming to an end soon, because the building is nearing completion! So come on by to my Saturday clay and lime plastering workshop, which will be the last chance to really view what a fully light straw-clay insulated structure looks like before we cover it all up. Doesn’t matter if you even know what plaster is. Touch some mud! Frost it on the wall!

Cob Oven Weekend Workshop, 7/26-27

All day, 7/26-7/27 (camping and bunking options), Brewster, MA (Transit and carpool options)

In late June, a colleague and I ran a fabulous, immersive full-weekend natural building workshop in scenic Cape Cod. Rave reviews. We’re doing it one more time next weekend. This is the stuff. The full-fat, life-changing, grown-up summer camp experience, five meals included. And we happen to be building a sick outdoor pizza oven.

Natural Plastering Workshop (Again) 8/16 (Medford)

Same as the 7/19 one, just on a different date! The building will be almost done at this point, so it’ll be cool to look at in that sense, but you won’t be able to see as much of the fascinating organic guts of it as you will on 7/19.

Open House!
